Live 8 Upgrade
Does anyone know if the upgrade to the Live 8 boxed version will include the EIC2?

I'm confused. When I upgraded from Live 6 to Live 7, one major difference between the boxed and download versions was that the boxed version contained EIC2 and the download did not.
I would think, therefore, that if you do not already have EIC2, you would have to go for the boxed version in order to get it. The files are pretty big to offer for download.

The difference between theory and practice is that in theory, there is no difference between theory and practice, but in practice, there is.
You need to purchase the suite boxed, not just Live in order to get EIC.GrooveNinja wrote:I have the download version of Live 7. When I upgraded to Live 7, the boxed version did not contain the EIC2. I am curious if that will be the same with the upgrade to Live 8.arkoenig wrote:Why would it? If you have Live 7 Suite, you already have EIC2.
What is the difference between Live 8 download and Live 8 boxed (except for the price)? In my upgrade options from Live 7 boxed there are none. So I pay about 30 euro only for the box?

Yes, that is correct. They started that sometime around last February or March, I think. If you upgraded to the boxed version, you did not get EIC2. I was hoping that they would change that for Live 8 upgrade.andydes wrote:I think the files came with the box, but you had to pay extra for the license. The box and manual could be had for about 30 quid, but the EIC was significantly more. Right?

EIC has never been available as part of any downloadable version of Live. It as has always been part of the boxed suite only.GrooveNinja wrote:That is what I want to know.ambien wrote:What is the difference between Live 8 download and Live 8 boxed (except for the price)? Now I'm getting confused. What did they start in Feb. or March? EIC has always been only available as part of the boxed suite only. Am I wrong?GrooveNinja wrote:Yes, that is correct. Maybe, or I could be confused. At the beginning of last year, I thought that the Live 7 boxed upgrade came with EIC2. It said so on the web site. But then, around Frebruary or March, they changed the web site to explicitly say that it did not come with any of the boxed upgrades. Now, I see that Live 8 Suite boxed upgrade comes with EIC2, so I was hoping that the regular, non-suite boxed upgrade did too.rbro wrote:Now I'm getting confused.
