Sasha uses Live a lot in the studio. If I remember correctly they do most of the creation work in Live and then do the final mix in Logic. But in a recent'ish interview about his latest mix album he did say that one of the tracks was solely done in Live.

I think the main issue is that most people don't rate he mastering side of Live and always switch to something else (more often than not Logic) for that. It seemed to get a bit better with Live 7, maybe Live 8 will see more people go 100% Live.

I agree with this, as well. I was really talking for my personal workflow. If I implied it as rule of law, it wasn't my intention.

Like many of us, I've used, learned on, managed, and worked with a bunch of DAWs.

For what I am doing now, I use Ableton for everything.


Still, if I was out to record the NY Philharmonic... For me personally, I'd rather use something else.

Its just the way I feel. Its not wrong, and its not right.

There is no rule, "I own Ableton and must use Ableton for everything."
