creating my own ableton template with remote sl 25 question

Post by sinistral » Wed Jan 21, 2009 2:27 pm

I decided to create my own template for the novation remote sl 25 for use with ableton live. I downloaded the editor, the midi learn template.

the problem i am having is mapping the push buttons above each row of knobs to the left of the controller.

see i want to launch clips and stop clips for each track but for some reason it seems i have to push twice on each button to get it going as if i needed to put the focus on that row of buttons before actually pushing it...

is there a way to just have it work with regardless of what the controller is focused on or what is displayed on the controller's screen?

also, i want to set the << and >> to left and right nudge but i don't seem to find the right mode for the button... (step, normal etc..)

any help would be appreciated..

.

hi

for the scene launch and stop buttons without the “pause” you need to go into the novation edit menu and have the btn type set to momentary

im assuming that you want to set the nudge buttons to the nude in the clip box in abe - it should be either toggle or step - both work for me
