Best Laptop for Ableton Programming

Post by Integxx » Thu Jan 22, 2009 2:01 am

My current laptop just crashed and need some suggestions on what would be the best computer for ableton. THe computer will be primarly used for writing music (also school work). My last computer was an hp AM turion with vista 64bit and it blew! Always freezing, some software couldnt install, usb ports were messing with my interface.

In your opinion.. what would be the best laptop with the best processing, memory, etc.. the whole package.. for writing in ableton and also doing other work. I kno MACs are by far awesome... but im looking to stick with windows for now. Thanks.

All Laptops suck crap for serious programming on any level of finished product imo.
Dj ok, real professional product good luck. No 10-15,000 Rpm drives, too hot, ton of peripherals all over the place nightmare, no Duende, limited UAD, limited Liquid mix etc etc etc. People ask - Has anyone ever done a professional mix in Ableton Live? lol Of course!

The real question should be - has anyone on earth put fourth a professional mix from a crap laptop? Get real. NO. Not without a serious Magma chassis setup.
