The abes should be ashamed. I can't imagine what a potential user would think who came to the forums.

General should mean "General Ableton"

How hard is it to make an Off-topic section?
You know, that's just stupid. Just like Martyn said -

"For questions and queries or any other general information regarding Ableton Live, there's this thing called a manual. If that's not enough, these are actual lessons built into the program itself."

And it isn't like there is not a wealth of information on this forum to be had as well by doing a simple search, probably the first ableton function that should be taught to any new person.

Sure, the search function blows, so search the site using google. 9 times out of 10 the shit people post about or ask questions about has been posted about and discussed already once a month for the past 5 years -

what midi controller is best for my abletons - will ableton work for me - how do I make a fat tarnce lead - can I sell my lite ableton - or like this discussion for example.

I wonder if most of the people bitching about "OT" are even aware that there is a tips and tricks section and other sections to the forum here?

Christ man, get over it.

And this forum is actually quite tame to a lot of others. Try looking through the Serato forums some time. I mean, there is good info and decent people there, but man you want to talk about some serious knuckleheads?

General is fairly general!

I really do think that the abes should clean up the tips and tricks section. Its difficult to find things!

I quite like that.
I like that too. I'd like to visit such a place so that I'd have something to threaten my dustbunnies with now and again.

Oh sorry to hijack, that's a bit OT.

Good, good.

It is warming that I know I can return and find this thread totally destroyed and poor old Tom left hanging high and dry.

It's like coming home.

Brings a tear to the eye.

man I love you guys. No really, love you.

Q though:

If you spend too much time in the Bleached Hoover Trench do you get Bleached Hoover Trenchfoot?

No worries! :) This is a good lesson for me as a newcommer! I had a few laughs along the way, and I had slightly foreseen this ending, as soon as the first replies showed up.

As said that must be Love!

I have learned how it is to be a Padawan in here, and bows my head in respect!
General Section = Anything from Live to infinity and beyond!

A: Yes I can confirm that...

Ha, brilliant. If nothing else, this pointless thread has spawned not only the Bleached Hoover Trench but Bleached Hoover Trenchfoot. I love you all. Within limits.

Not in an unnatural man love kind of way.

But maybe in a high fives, lets grease ourselves up, take our tops off and play beach volleyball Top Gun kind of way?
