Unable to use my evolution uc-33 with ableton

having issues using my evolution uc-33 on ableton version 5.2.2...recently upgraded to leopard when this started...i've tried using in preferences re-scan on control surface and my evolution doesn't appear in window...live doesn't seem to see it...any suggestions?
G5 PowerMac dual 2.0 - 2.5GB RAM - 460GB (160GB + 300GB) dual hard drive, Live 5, Cubase SX3, Battery2, Pro Logic LE, Mbox, UC-33e,, ArKaos VJ 3.5, M-Audio 49e, M-Audio Nova Mic, BX5 monitors, ESI SW8000 Subwoofer Monitor.

Hardware reset of the UC-33e? Deleting your Live preferences?
