[4546] Renaming files in browser resets warpmarkers
[4546] Renaming files in browser resets warpmarkers
I can't pin this one down, but for some reason renaming a previously warped wav file in the Live browser will sometimes reset the asd file. IE, all the warping you did disappear and it's like you just dragged the file into the project for the first time. Happens about 10% of the time, can't pin it down to what exactly is causing it, because usually it works fine.

One more note, when I see this happen (instantly after pressing enter when done renaming), I can press CMD+Z and the renaming sticks, and my warp markers return to what they were prior to the error.

Hi,
were the warp markers that disappear created in Live 7 and manually saved or created with Live 8?
Do I understand correctly:
- you have a wav file with asd file that contains manually adjusted warp markers
- you rename the file
-> after dragging it in you don't see the markers you created but the ones that
the automatic analysis produced?

Sorry, let me clarify some. All warping was done entirely in Live 8, in Session view, using full song length 16bit wav files. I'll warped the songs in Session view, click save on the Clip pane to save my warping to the asd file. Then I'll go to the Live browser to add the tempo to the file name (something I do for DJing, and I don't know this info until I warp the track). After entering the tempo to the beginning of the file, I press Enter, and you can see the warping disappear from the clip in session view, it reverts to looking like I had just dragged it into the session view for the very first time. As long as I catch it, pressing CMD+Z will revert the audio file to the correct warping that was there previous to the renaming in the browser.

Actually it looks like Live 8 is having issues remembering warp markers in general. I just opened my 'warping' project where I have been prepping 40 songs for DJ use over the last few days, and about 10 of the songs have forgotten the warp marker settings I did manually in Live 8. Yes I remembered to save the asd file, and have done nothing to the files since I last opened this project.
(and in a weird case of computers taking over the world, only the most difficult to warp songs had their warp markers reset, all the dance tracks are fine. Sigh...)

Hi,
This should be fixed in the current beta. Can you confirm?
