Nah, I'm the same. Though the range in shops is getting so poor that I'm having to buy CDs online more and more. My local HMV (Belfast) is turning into a DVD-boxset superstore with little attention paid to music that's not in the album charts. What they do have that isn't "popular" is ridiculously expensive.andydes wrote:HMV (not stolen, obviously)
Am I the only person who still buys music in shops?
If that fails, amazon. I only download music not released on a physical format.
Edit: Oh and from the band at a gig (whilst checking out their set up). Best way.
OT: Where do YOU buy (or steal) your music from?
Live 7, Logic Studio 8, Mac Pro 8-core/2.26/6GB, OS X 10.5.6, Saffire Pro 40, Alesis M1 Active 520s, Remote SL 37, Virus TI Snow, Nord Rack 2, Zebra 2, Sylenth1

I usually manage to hold of for a few weeks then have a music buying frenzy... and repeat. Having gone thorugh my library recently there must 30 or 40 gigs of music sitting there that hasnt been played more than once or twice... waste of money! Saying that though my piles of records seems even more of a waste - remember paying £10+ for a one sided promo on several occasions. Dunno what to do with them all.

Probably only about £5 - £10 per week. I usually go on eBay and buy a couple of cheeky 12s - generally something cheap from the film-score section! I love the weird film scores, I do.rjbourc wrote:Averaging about 40 USD, although I may be looking to cut back very soon...bendybones wrote:Any of these sites have wav files available?

Other than that, I spend about £40 a month (of my teaching spends) on CDs or downloads - there's a great shop in Nottingham that does a massive selection of stuff for £3, £5, and £7. S'called 'Fopp' if you're ever around!

Addictech.com does, though since you're a live user makes more sense to buy FLAC, let Live decode them, then use the wav from your decoding cache.bendybones wrote:Any of these sites have wav files available?

Gutted when they closed the majority of them down here...I remember rinsing the Sub Pop section and ended up spending £100 on stuff?!
