please, oh please, tell me this is changed in Live 8...

Ableton, dear, dear Ableton,

Please give us a button to press to enable/disable the count-in click. Or make it a menu option so at least mac's can map a keystroke to it via the OS.

How about shift clicking the metronome button? Anything.

I've always wondered, is their actually a button to turn the click on and off when recording, i used to just press c in cubase, i still do it even now 5 years later, but it does nothing. bah

Its assignable. So you can turn it on or off with a MIDI/Key message assigned to the metronome.

And the bad news is no, Live 8 does not have a button, assignable control, or menu option to toggle count-in.

Hmm... I thought only the metronome was assignable but not the count-in? As far as I know count-in is only adjustable in the preferences? I want to be able to quickly turn off the count-in value as well. Would be great if I've somehow just missed it all these years.

That was a reply to Emissary. What you're asking for is not possible in Live as far as I know.
