I just fried my micro Kontrol! arrggghhh

So So Pissed of with myself. moment of madness, rushing to reconnect the studio after another move around. Used the wrong plug - gave it 16v instead of 9v

The lights burned bright for a second and that was that - dead keyboard.

don't suppose there's any coming back from that. back to mouse music for the time being.

i did the same exact thing with an old electribe, no lights just blue smoke though. ive even opened it up to try to replace what burnt out, but i just cant find it

Get yourself together guys. I fried my 1979 MS 20. Some swedishs jerks had made it for 15 volts with a US 110v plug. So guess what, after moving some stuff I gave it 110v instead of 15v.

You know you can fix it, it is probably the resistor right where you hook up the power where it blew...

I let one of my friends barrow my MS2000 and he plugged in the wrong power supply and fried it... He said there was smoke coming out the thing. I thought for sure i was screwed. But i just replaced the resistor and it worked.

If you don't want to open it up yourself try taking it to a tv repair shop or something. those synths aren't that complicated.

Just get an electrical friend to replace the transistor.....i did the same to my Macki Big Knob....my mate fixed it in a day, sure he said it was transistor problem...nothing major.
