i took more time finding a mp3 converter and trying to get it to dl and then finding a damn site to upload them onto, than i took making these!!!!

anyways,
all three are done in reason the only one i did not just hit record and actually play on is the trance one... i dont even think it can be considered trance...
this pretty much how everything ends up when i just use reason.. unfinished.

I made this glitchy-techy ambience using a drum rack and effects:

http://www.djgroovy.com/public/3amplatekit.mp3

The drum rack is from a guy called Justin3am on Kvr, he shared 4 drum racks he made in this thread:

http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=3351736

Actually i made 2 more demos for the other racks:

- new bit, very clean but still has a bit of crunch left in it. Not totally happy with the drums, but it was fun to do, which is the most important bit.

I made a bank of 16 presets for the synth TB Ritual from Tweakbench. If you want ask me. So i made a quick mp3 demo, with 7 or 8 presets showcased, only the kick and snare are not Ritual (they're from Goldbaby's Cassette 808). Very rough and raw, no effects added.

I've been depressed lately.

..its an underdeveloped track, I probably won't finish it. Unless this world folds me into more unhappiness. ..it always will be express through in some form of art for me though I suppose.

Did I say it was underdeveloped? The first half I won't even share.

http://www.creepyill.com/theproblem.mp3 vocals were all done in one takes.

good night!

I actually like that!

you should stay massively depressed for at least an album worth of material.
It needs 'mastering' because it seems a little quiet and flat , but with the sort of material it is you could just over-compress it to unpleasant levels, make sure the EQ is OK, and call it done.

you too?

I like it, I used to listen to stuff like this on long ass car drives across the country when I thought I was a goth kid :)
It was as if someone shook up a 6 foot can of blood soda and suddenly popped the top.

My latest doodle is a render of a preset i've made for a synth, that has very much the character of a didgeridoo. I love it, i can spend minutes just playing this patch:

I made this thing at like 4 in the morning last night. It's pretty corny and poppy but i think has some interesting elements.

it's the test 1 thing.

This is some nonsense featuring the Live 8 Beta, just a couple of hours to throw this grimey little sub 1 minute 50 second groove together, no great musicianship as I did it using my laptop and played keys off the lappy keyboard. It has a gritty industrial type feel, with drums thrown through the limiter plugin for a hard compressed sound and the use of the new overdrive plugin on the bass line.

Features - Group Tracks (2 drum tracks grouped into 1, 1 operator kit, 1 drum loop, the operator kit was also groove changed, using an 'extract groove' function from a swinging audio loop, over a more static audio drum loop), 2nd group track 3 synth parts, 3rd group track 3 FX parts.

Also used - Vocoder - listen to the mild mannered Operator Pad (used the draw function too, very cool) change into a swirling wind noise when the beat changed up with automation on the vocoder. Also - I recorded a sample of a TI Speak and Spell saying 'repeat' and put that through the vocoder at the end which sounded awesome. The new warping transient beats algortihm was used on warping one of the breakbeats and the crossfades on arrangement can be seen in the arrangement .jpeg as 2 loops nicely crossfade).

Not really mixed or mastered properly. Just EQed groups and the bass line and threw a limiter on the master buss to pump up the volume a bit.
