[frs] Step recording not working on OSX10.4

the step record function isn't working in the MIDI editor. Supposedly it is supposed to add notes when you hit the right arrow while holding down a note, but it doesn't do anything at all.

Also, the + and - keys don't seem to work for zooming in and out in the MIDI editor.

Macbook Pro (first gen), OS 10.4.11

Hi,

did you arm the Midi track and switch on the Midi editor preview (the headphones button above the piano roll)?

yes, i followed the instructions in the lesson, but it didn't work. i also noted that the "+" and "-" keys aren't working in the MIDI editor for zooming in and out. It makes me wonder if it is a Mac problem.

i finally got it to work. what wasn't clear in the reference materials was that you had to actually click inside the MIDI editor note area in order to get Live to recognize the right arrow note input.
