i have been making a track and as of this week i cant shut down live, all i can do is hit Alt,ctrl,Delete then end process, and i awlays have to reboot as live cant find my audio driver if i try and start again. also after working on a track for a while i get this message.
Error Seeking C:\documents and settings\application data\ableton\live\live4.04\preferences\undo.cfg
also there is no log file when i end task ?? i have checked over and over but no log is made.. other logs are in there so its not turned off.
i have also noticed the ram usage in live gets massive as i work on the set longer, this undo.cfg prob would maybe be live unable to write to the file as there is no ram left ? i checked the processes when this happend and before it happend the ram was going from 75 to 200 then up and up , i was not loading heaps of effects or vsts, i was just changing the live set around , automation, midi files and adjusting some of the current effects. the cpu meter in live at the time was around 40 to 50 %
my set up is
P4 2.4
780 meg ram
cannot shut down live
hi,
have also the same problem when trying to close live after my soundcard driver blocks, i also get this error message...
in general after insisting (3 o 4 times) i get the program closed.
at my opinion this is due to an overload of the ram-cpu-soundcard driver... (i think)
in my case with a cleaning of the hd and a defragmentation things are working better now... (still not perfect)
hope it helps...
