While exporting (all tracks), levels way too high

Post by davo6 » Thu Feb 05, 2009 9:53 pm

To make things simple, I want to export all of my tracks in the project at 44.1 (32bit). My master volume level is at -20 (for testing purposes). When I export and listen to my individual tracks, they are very loud. Almost as if they are being normalized, when in fact that option is not on....

I would like to simply export all of my tracks so they remain at the same playback level when I monitoring the mix (e.g. staying at the same level that my master meter is placed).

If I export just the master channel, the track plays back at the proper volume, but when exporting "all tracks"....I seem to have no control over the volume

Hi DAvo6,

have you tried reimporting the tracks into Live to check the difference of the levels? It should be identical. In order to test this, please set the track´s faders to 0db. Make sure, Normalizing, Dithering and Convert to Mono is turned off in the Export Audio/Video preferences.

Best,
