[amo] Groove Random not so random

Post by timothyallan » Tue Jan 27, 2009 12:04 pm

If I commit a groove that has 100% (for example) Random selected, then undo it, then press commit again, I get identical results... should I not get another 'randomized' timing fluctuation after undo?

edit: If this is by design and it simply reverts back to the previous random setting, I'd think it might be more creative if it was to redo the random seed, therefore giving me the option of committing different random grooves until I like one. :)

Hi,

As far as I know, the random seed is re-created for each clip start/loop jump. So, after undoing, you should restart the clip once if you want another randomness.

Hi,

May I lock this thread, or is anything still unclear?
