Select specific scene without launching

Is it possible to select a specific scene without launching it? I played around with the scene selector using relative midi controls, which is great for scrolling up and down. But I couldn't figure out how to select a specific scene.
I'd like to jump to a specific scene and NOT launch it.

make a miditrack. copy a empty clip in every slot. map buttons to it and make then have quantize none. every time you lounch one of then you will jump to that scene.
