[8.0b8] .als file corrupt

Post by gunforhire » Mon Feb 09, 2009 11:05 pm

So I was having some serious issues with ableton for some time, and I re-installed it (will probably get back with a huge bug report soon :P), but one of my ongoing project files has now turned up being corrupt with the following description:

The document "xxxxx.als" is corrupt.
[Invalid Pointee Id.]

What does this mean? Is there any way to recover my work?

first thing to do is to send the set to [email protected] with a link to this thread.
then cross your fingers (you can also try to rename temporarily your vst folder and your preferences file).

Luckily I could restore it with yesterdays backup.. but still - it drives me mad that it actually happened :D Let's hope this is just some beta-thingie-possibility!
