[amo] track view selector graphic glitch

i've noticed occasionally that the track view selector in the lower right shows blank space instead of showing the plug-in thumbnails. seemingly random but frequent.

There were some changes that may have improved that. That said, please report back if you see that again, and try getting steps as to reproduce it.
