audio cutout with graindelay

at the moment im looking into buying at ibook. i'm trying out one at the moment:
Machine Model: iBook
CPU Type: PowerPC G4 (3.3)
Number Of CPUs: 1
CPU Speed: 1 GHz
L2 Cache (per CPU): 256 KB
Memory: 640 MB
Bus Speed: 133 MHz
Boot ROM Version: 4.77f0
Serial Number: UV3470B3PH0

i'm finding that the audio is cutting out for a split second when i drag the grain delay effect over an audio clip. I'm using live 4.4.
any ideas anyone?

Hello Mr. Wednesday,

That´s a "natural" effect. Devices like the Graindelay need to fill a buffer before they can process the signal.
