regarding syncing:
you can midi sync the two machines via network. check it out, there is a little program for midi and audio-driver settings in the utilities, there you can set the network connection. google it for a walkthrough, there is plenty on that topic on the web.
however this network connection is unstable sometimes.
you also can connect your machines via midi cable, there should be enough midi connections on your m-audio gear. get a calbe.
however Live's midi-sync is sometimes a little drifting.
so it might be better to just hit play at the same time and nudge one machine a little forward or backwrds if necessary.
regarding recording: you can record arrangements on both computers and then later drag both arrangements together into a big super-arrangement on one computer, given that all plug ins used on one computer are available on the other as well.
Or you just record audio into whatever device. lot's of possibilities.
