B-Keeper: Drum Tracker for Ableton Live [beta version test]
Hi,
Does anyone (in particular people who are drummers or have a band) want to try out B-Keeper, a drum tracker for Live. Basically, it takes in microphone input from Kick and Snare and changes the tempo to synchronise with you.
I've been developing this for..quite a while! you can see videos at
www.youtube.com/bkeepersystem
email me at andrewrobertson77 at googlemail dot com it you're interested.
the software runs..in Max..so it will be interesting when Max4Live comes out as it will sit nicely in Live without being external. For now, we'll have to use Max Runtime etc. I find it okay, but could do with some external feedback , criticism, etc.
Cheers,
Andrew

How good must the drum mics be for that? or does it make any difference?

I'd sure like to try that out. I'm use to play with the click or along with sequences but to try it the other way around should be interesting.
I guess on windows I need something like midi yoke to route the midi from Max runtime to Ableton live or any other sequencer? I'd like to try it out with Audiomulch also.

I mailed! Very interested, always wanted to make something like that myself some day.
Do you guys know the project (Andre) Duracell? He plays Amiga tunes using drum triggers and a synth. Amazingly energetic.

http://andrediamant.free.fr/duracell.htmEquip: bass drum, snare drum, floor tom, all with triggers (cheap piezo pickups).triggers go into mixer for preamp, then into a clavia nord modular G2 , back into the mixer into an EQ>power amp>speakers. The G2 is a digital modular synth that looks like a simple faceless rack and is pretty useless without a computer, that's why there's a laptop behind me, running the G2 software. You can download a special (software emulation) version of the program and get an idea of how the interface works here. for the first duracell set (lightning bolt tribute) I used a micromodular and a whammy.
