then a kickdrum
then an instance of analogue
it went psycho and got digital weirdness
then live crashed

Can you be more specific? Do you mean you dropped the objects each onto its own Track? Also, what specific objects did you drop? Did you use an Analog preset or the instrument itself?
For what it's worth, I dropped the following objects onto separate Tracks and had no problems:
1. Live Clip from Library/Clips/Acoustic/80s Gate - 160 - BDown 1.alc
2. An instance of Analog (just the instrument; not a preset)
3. Sample from Library/Sample Hits/BassDrum_Acoustic/Ludwig/Ludwig_DryLo_f.wav

Hi,
Did you ever send a crash report? Without these, it makes it impossible to fix the problem you experienced, as it seems very specific.

I have had exactly the same thing happen and also reported it
