[amo] crossfader causes cpu spikes

the crossfader is making a static like noise when its used.

Hi,

Does it always make noise, or does it depend on the type (mp3, wav..) of files you use, on the Crossfader curve, etc.. ?

i was using it with wave files.

seems to be causing cpu spikes which are causing the glitches.
even when no audio is playing i'm getting %10+ cpu spikes

.... ok got it...

the more tracks the higher the cpu spike...

load a blank live set with 2 audio tracks... move the crossfader
im getting like 2-3% cpu spikes... add a few more and the spikes climb..
with 50 tracks i'm getting like 10-30% cpu spikes

i just did the same test in live 7

with 50 audio tracks i get an average 4% cpu spike with a max of 8%

No noise here, but cpu spikes between 6 to 8% when moving the crossfader

still massive cpu spikes when using crossfader with allot of tracks.

is no one else having this issue?

i loaded beta onto my pc
3 ghz p4 4gig ram

loaded up some tracks moved the crossfader and had the same issue.

the more tracks the higher the cpu spikes

sorry i keep bumping this but to me this is a major issue.

Can you confirm that the CPU spikes are not there anymore, in b16?

yes the cpu spikes are not happening in beta 16
