[amo] preview song doesn't preview

summary:
preview a tune in your library, there's a play pointer scrolling across the song's waveform but you won't hear the song until you click on the waveform.

to reproduce:
select a song in your mp3 library

the waveform display scrolls showing song position as it plays but you hear nothing.

click on the song waveform and it starts playing through the SOLO channel.

yes, headphones were on, RAW WAS OFF.

new clue... (I was exhausted when I posted.)

preview play doesn't start until the entire waveform is rendered on the screen in the little preview window.

if I click on the waveform with the speaker mouse cursor before it renders, play starts.

play still stops when the focus is taken off of Live, eg when I click on this web browser.

if RAW is enabled, there is no problem, except that play stops when the focus is taken off of Live.

Hi,

Here, preview starts even if not the whole waveform has been calculated, for unanalyzed mp3 files.

The rest is how it is specified: preview stops when Live looses the focus, as in Live 7.
