I'm on a 2.33, and it isn't coming anywhere near that. I'm getting about 15%. Is there a specific preset or setting making it do that?Emissary wrote:yay, got in, should collision be using 90% cpu with one instance on a macbook cd2 2ghz....

The new soundbank is really good. Just been playing the new delays mode, you can do some nasty shit in repitch and freezing.
Some nice things I didn't know, the way the new browser preview works by looping continuously or not. Very handy.
I'm gonna totally loving the new features and I'm gonna update from 6 ---> 8 live suite download! no doubt

no, it pretty much all of them. i dunno, these macbook santa rosa's are shit. its performs close to a P4 because of this wanky speedstep issue.sparklepuff wrote:I'm on a 2.33, and it isn't coming anywhere near that. I've got a MacBook Core Duo (the first one) and Collision is totally unusable, it maxes out the cpu immediately on all the presets I tried.Emissary wrote:no, it pretty much all of them. i dunno, these macbook santa rosa's are shit. its performs close to a P4 because of this wanky speedstep issue.sparklepuff wrote:I'm on a 2.33, and it isn't coming anywhere near that. hmm, no point in me upgrading to the 8 suite i guess if collision is this cpu intensive, saved me a bit of dough i suppose. maybe they will make it a little more cpu efficient later on.jonny72 wrote:I've got a MacBook Core Duo (the first one) and Collision is totally unusable, it maxes out the cpu immediately on all the presets I tried.Emissary wrote:no, it pretty much all of them. i dunno, these macbook santa rosa's are shit. its performs close to a P4 because of this wanky speedstep issue.sparklepuff wrote: I'm on a 2.33, and it isn't coming anywhere near that.
