[ink] Pro Stretch either stops working or makes harsh noise

Post by mdk » Fri Feb 13, 2009 8:53 pm

Start a new set, set the BPM to 100. load a sample, e.g. fadeyback_65b.aif from the library.

set stretch mode to pro, hit the *2 button 3 times (Seg BPM to 520) and press play.

I get a click and then silence.

Now put the BPM up to about 118 and hit play again then mind your ears at about bar 7 because i get full volume digital noise at that point. until then it seems to be stretching ok.

at about 127 BPM it recovers and doesnt create the noise.

XP sp3, Intel core 2 duo, 4 GB ram.

I get your result just doing this.

Also, I can crash Live by setting the changing the Warp mode from anything to Pro and back again with the Seg. BPM at 520.

I've experienced this error too.
I just didn't manage to narrow down to a repeatable method to reproduce it.

Not sure if this is the same bug or if I should start a new thread but....

I'm having problems with Pro, looping a section of a song results in a high pitch distortion at the end of the loop - pretty much every single time. This is with just one song playing so its not a cpu issue, seems to be just when it loops from the end to the beginning of the loop.

Same issue?

I have the following issues with samples in pro mode:

-tempo unchanged, but transposed +27st or higher: just a short "blip" at
sample start, then silence

-tempo unchanged, but transposed below 0: the audio level goes higher
the more i transpose down

-tempo changed to 25 or below: i only hear a short part at sample start,
then silence

i get this bug loading a long mp3 file then pulling the tempo down to 20BPM.
will play fine till i change any of the Pro warping settings.

Hi,

Can you please check with beta 19? Some bugs have been fixed and this may as well have fixed your issue.

Appears fixed. No unusual behaviors noted with Transpose or Warp Mode and Seg BPM changes.
