It seems that this and envelopes are two things the Ableton folks are deadset against doing, either that or they really don't read these threads.

I can't tell you how many times I've gotten the beginning of an envelope exactly where I want it and then have to fight with all the zooming and crap to get it exactly where I want it at the end. Pain in the ass.

most of the time zooming gets my automations where i want them but i've had times when i really just would rather type the values in.
would be nice to have when needed.

God, a request from 2005 that has not been met. I think this should be pretty standard. If I know what the value of a point should be, why should I have to futz with my mouse until I hit it exactly. This is also a little harder on the new Macbook Pros, where the button and trackpad is integrated. :(
