I think the Live effects are on par with everything else thats out there. I like them.

Hm. Autofilter is one of the Live plugs I don't use... the reverb is not bad IMHO.

Check out the Waves Collections for great reverbs.
You have Waves plugs, and like you say, they are great...so problem solved. Judging live by its FX is about as crazy as judging the Waves plugins by the DAW functions they don't have. Fortunately there are companies that specialise in making nothing but fx, and the lovely thing is, Live is modular so everyone hopefully ends up using the combination of FX that they like, which are unique to them.
