if i divide a loop after recording it into looper it will not allow me to return it to it's normal bar state or any multiple thereof

Hi,

The looper writes audio in a buffer, and we do manipulate the buffer directly with the :2 and /2 buttons, so that it indeed cut/doubles the buffer. That allows you for instance to double the buffer, and overdub something for the whole length of it.

What you wish for is a "playback" loop length feature, and that has to go to the wishlist.

then by all means put it on the wishlist

i at at least would hope that might loop wouldn't be destructively edited i.e. that i could return it to its original length. couldn't that be done without changing the buffer size but merely the playback which live does already in the session view?
