What does the "soft" button do on Implulse?

What exactly does the "soft" button do on Implulse (technically)?

It softens the attack a little, but it sounds like it only affect the high end to make drums have that 'round' feel to em.

It's got to do more than just soften the attack, though.... I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure it does something else as well?

This should be added to Simpler as well, for use with Drum Racks.

That's why I want to get exact technical specs as to what EXACTLY "soft" does...

Anyone?

Same thing the "crisp" setting does for the chorus. Except the opposite.

yes you can definitely say it uncrisps things in about 73%, depends on the amount of softyness modulationess

aren't we all just a joy :D , seriously, I am really curios now, someone from abes chime in here, it doesn't seem so big a deal as to email tech support, but I am really curious now.

I'm pretty damn sure it just adds a volume envelope.

Yeah that and time stretch... Or at least just allow impulse to be an available default for Drum Racks (even though each unit will only use the first slot)

Impulse is one of my favorite, but most neglected instruments in Live.

ASDR? i can definitely see that possibility, but something tells me it does a little more than that (eq ? filter? velocity? )... Just fiddling around with ASDR doesn't seem to give me an exact replica...
the only way to duplicate its effect in simpler, drum racks, or just on a clip on a any audio / midi channel, would be to know the specifics. Yes, I can approximate by ear, but knowing the specifics of the "soft" button will allow me to do/understand technical aspects of certain decisions/paths that I may choose to take, consider or go deeper into.
