good quality free techno/techhouse/minimal- where?
I'm not playing out any more, but I want to do live sets just to inspire me and keep aware of music out there, and here my own stuff 'in context'.
Thing is, I dont want to be spending crap loads on beatport just to play around with in some spare time.
So, where can I get free music, or cant I?

Loads and loads of people put out free music, to show labels what they're doing, for fun and plenty of other reasons. Myself included.jp76 wrote:While we're at it, I need some food to eat tonight, but it's not like I'm going to open a restaurant or anything and I don't want to spend a ton of money at the store. Anybody know where I can get some free groceries?
I'm just looking for somewhere thats got the genres i'm intrested in and maybe some sort of review/quality control system.

there are also many soup kitchens and the like in most cities, just ask around a bit.
you can get free veges if you go to your city's vegetable market just as they are closing, they generally rather give the veges that don't sell to people instead of just throwing them away.
for free dry goods and tinned food you might need to get your hands dirty. try the skips at the back of major supermarkets. you can get practically anything there.
you just have to know where to look.
the point i'm making is that you can always get stuff for free, you're just paying for the convenience of saving time and effort.
Check out this label from Montreal:
http://www.archipel.cc - minimal / tech
Archipel sells releases on Vinyl, CD and also its net releases on Beatport. Their net releases become free after a couple of months.
