Don't make me raise the Muslim militia to riot on your ass (again)!
oh don't get me wrong, the infamous "cartoons" from a few years ago were racist as FUCK, and anyone claiming they weren't are morons.

This comic might be in questionable taste, but not intentionally, I think. But then again none of us are mind readers...

Thing is though, Gordon Brown has only got one eye and is Scottish. Plus a lot of people think he's an idiot and that isn't much of insult anyway. So what's the problem?
That is extremely funny.

I thought Obama getting elected was a good thing. Now young African Americans are growning up in a world where the statement "You can be anything you want to be, even the President of the United States" is a true statement.

But I guess in some ways, him being elected only sparks more racism.
sorry man but as far as I can tell you're the dildo making the chimp to Obama connection.

I thought the Scottish were generally pissed off at everybody anyway.

As if he invented this connection? Racist fucks comparing blacks to apes is a part of our American heritage, and that's why this cartoon is at best in questionable taste.

agreed but monkey imagery is all over our culture. this can be looked at as comparing the people making decisions in DC to a bunch of monkies, that's how I see it.

racism is a strong card to play, careful before calling it. it sucks that people are used to making that leap from monkey to black person. I'm not judging kb420, he's no racist, maybe a little sensitive.

agreed, it's a crap paper that doesn't warrant the attention, idiots do as idiots are.

I think that if you can't see that political cartoon as being racist and a clear shot at Obama's ethnicity then you are either naive or completely out of touch with African Americans.

There is absolutely no doubt in my mind what the intentions of that cartoon were, and it was completely out of line. I'm not being sensitive. It is what it is!

to kb420's credit, the news services are calling this his way, google "racist New York Post."

put the author of the cartoon in context
Mr. Delonas has drawn ire from a number of groups for past cartoons in The Post. In 2006, the Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation denounced a cartoon of his that showed a man carrying a sheep wearing a bridal veil to a “New Jersey Marriage Licenses” window, a reference to the State Supreme Court’s ruling that year requiring the state to grant same-sex couples the same legal rights and benefits as heterosexual couples through civil unions.
he's known to push the PC envelope.

Sharpton and others are going to the Post to hold protests.

pinche gente... people gotta just quit it altogether.

I agree with you on that one Nebs.
Reminds me of a saying "A person's perception is their reality."
it's how you choose to perceive things.
and of course, if it can be remotely perceived as racism, esp with having a black president, unfortunately the worst will be spun / misconstrued.

some people have too much time on their hands and have nothing better to do have to stir things up and cause trouble.

its a freaking political cartoon.

remember the previous presidential election?
This one was about the missing ballots from Florida?
showed an astronaut finding them on the moon in a crater?

still kills me to this day.

I slipped into a daze, whilst I was there I heard the most startling music, it was at once familiar and alien, reassuring and unsettling.

Seriously people need to stop being so friggin sensitive....

The more people stand up spouting political correctness the more i rebel against the machine and im quite sure im not alone

And why does it always seem to be a middle aged white woman who get outraged at racist jokes or references

Actually as of this moment i am officially rejecting the term 'political correctness' from my consciousness....what the hell is wrong with just respecting people and common sense like my good dad taught me.
