I wonder if it can detect hammer-ons and pull-offs...

Interesting stuff, I must say. Looks like a winner to me. Polyphonic doesnt really matter to me if you can leave your guitar as it is and just keep it simple. Decent sounds coming from all the vids as far as i can see. It looks easy to set up as well !

Yes thanks for posting this, I've been waiting years for something exactly like this so I didn't have to modify my guitar at all. 8)

I don't think there's ever been a group buy for hardware. (has there?) there's overhead that software doesn't have and margins aren't THAT big.

[harsh review] coming from someone with a midi guitar, this looks like a toy. my gut feeling is that latency will be noticeable. it's not much more than a 'color organ' that outputs midi.

c'mon tone! you're just upset cuz you spent a bunch of money on something you couldn've waited years for, not been sure about, drop a hundred bucks and barely use it because of awful latency, and something about the color of your organ.

just kidding.

anyway, didn't you watch the video's? it seemed like the latency was not that bad to me. I was hoping you'd jump on here because i know you have a midi guitar.... as an answer to that other guy, yes it detects hammer-on/pull-offs. They translate to legato correct?

Well, as soon as someone gets one, let us know, because it's on the hit list for me big time. I compose melodies SO much better, faster, and smarter on my native instrument.

for $100 this does look cool. I can't tell from the videos what the latency is like, who cares, it's $100!!

I didn't watch the videos, the one of that fat rocker noodling is pretty cool, the monophonic nature of this thing could be an advantage to clean up the slop. god awful noodling, he's got chops but I've never heard scales sound so aimless.

Wow. Just watched all the vids. Sure seems to me like a great piece of kit for $100.

Doesn't seem to be available anywhere yet. ? Sweetwater has it listed, but coming soon. Product sites give no release date. Anyone heard anything? I'm ready to plunk down my $100! 8)

:D I happened to have an order into Sweetwater for something else, and called to see if I could get one of these tacked on to it-- order had already shipped, but these will be in the 25th. :)

1. Wow you're music is fantastic. A pleasure to listen. Your percussive sounds are great. Man, I gotta work on my percussion samples. Grr.
2. Stick a pickup on that cello and give it a try!
3. The first page of the thread has a link to a great review.

if it's only monophonic, I'd say that I'm still happy with my cumbersome Roland setup... still, can this thing be used with a bass guitar?
