Dunno. Just watched Madagascar 2 and all the Hippos are voiced by black people. Is that racist? Why are ALL the Hippos voiced by black people?
Just messing around here. Not really looking for an answer. There's still blatant racism around, and looking for it in a cartoon - as opposed to calling it out where it's obvious in real life - is kinda silly.
Don't ask what I was doing watching Madagascar 2.

I'll bite, that's a suprisingly easy thing to answer, lets see what you think.
on television the majority of black people on primetime are fat loudtalking stupid people, the slant is as unmistakable as the lack of shows like the cosby show used to be, could this be why all the hippos are black people in madagascar, what do you think exactly is the casting formula for the majority of cartoons like that? .. you weren't actualy seeking an answer for madagascar but your brain already answered the question for you that's why you thought of it in the first place. you've seen the movie crash right, what do you think was the impetus for the tony danza scenes.
Look at tyler perrys movie madea goes to jail, or his hit sitcoms but wait a minute tyler perry is a black man who's written these shows so racism can't enter into the equation can it? I don't know if tyler perry is a racist or not, there are black people who are racist towards black people but the point is he is worth $105 million dollars on propagating those images, the images of black people that you would not take out in public because they are rediculous not that there are not black people who fit those characatures, but are they the majority, would all of the black people you know fit nicely right in a tyler perry show? I know alot of black people

and most of them would not.
so like I said I don't know if tyler perry is racist but I know that he would not
be worth the amount of money he is worth if he was making shows like the cosby show, why is that, does the reason that the television networks only being able to supply these types of black images have anything to do with race?
is radio any different, everyday we all complain on the forums across the net
about the garbage coming out of so called black music right, it's not healthy
it has no redeeming qualities but radio executives in control of the airwaves
can't seem to find any room with-in a 24hr period to offer anything outside of the fiftycent syndrome of duragatory musical imagery, but its nobodys fault but these artist right I mean nobody is telling them what to do right?
well as artist ourselves we know that in many many cases that is exactly what is happening, and also as artist ourselves we know that record labels and radio stations will only play what their agenda is and if we want to be a part of the success then we had better start acting like lil wayne hadn't we, because artist who make the same kind of music with messages that are contrary remain unheard of and do not get to partake in that success.
so what is the medias agenda concerning black people, that is the question
what does the media want you to think about black people, maybe they want you to think that black people are fat loud stupid people or thugs, maybe that's what they want your children to think and maybe thats why all of the disney like cartoons follow the same formula as madagascar. of course I don't know for certain, it could be all in my head and all of the shows on tv could truly encompass the entire spectrum of black personalities
I mean there was a black president on 24 right but I guess when they did that they didn't know how it was going to turn out in the real world.
