first time seeing this error can this be fixed

When im trying to inport a song clip the error reads "can not be decoded using direct show. My operating system is vista home. I am running Live 7.3

you should install the latest version of quicktime.

Both very good suggetstions. I ended up downloading a converter called dbpower amp from cnet.com.

it worked.
