Follow actions question

I seem to get a gap each time I try and Follow Actions from another clip. I followed the instuction manuals tips on playing one clip to the end then looping the second, but it leaves a gap before launch? I thought it might be because it was an odd time I was punching in for the end of the first clip, so I tryed a simple play to the end of a 2 bar clip coming straight in on the next, and it still did it. The gap is about 1 bar... it's weird. Any ideas out there?

not sure I totally understand your question, try setting the quantization for the clips to bar.

Dela is right, i hear a gap between clips in Follow Action.
I need to play a loop as described in the 4.0.4 manual, page 140, chapter 12,6,1.
I splitted a clip in 2 parts, the first is One Shot, the second is Loop.
I need to play them in their ORIGINAL bpm, so i handly changed the clips bpm to the project's bpm.
The lenght of the first clip is 2 0 2.
I set the Follow Action to time 2 0 3.
I hear a gap. Is there any possibility to set the Follow Action without quantization, only to play the next clip when the first has finished?
The Legato Mode doesn't work for me, when I click "Legato", the second clip starts from the middle lenght, not from the real start point!

no wonder you hear a gap. if you want no gap, set the follow action to 2 0 2. The time that you fill in in the follow actions field defines the time the clip is being played until the follow action, ehrm, follows. so tell ableton live to play the clip 2 0 2 beats long, and it will play the full clip and follow (if the clip is really 2 0 2 beats long).

pepezabala, i have tried to set 2 0 2, but is too anticipated!
The right beat tempo, hearing the music is 2 0 3, sure!
But I hear a very little gap, even the clip is the same, splitted at the specific point.
The reason is the (for me) damned forced warping mode.
I need to play several looped samples with very different bpm, in their ORIGINAL tempo, i don't need the warped mode.
So, as you can read in other posts, i need to set manually the clip bpm, forcing the value to 120 (the general project bpm).
By this way, Live waits just a little while to play the next clip because of the warping mode, and the fact is that it's not possible to set live only to play next clip when the first has finished, but you have to specify the time in beats, not in milliseconds of sample points!
Is is not so precise, don't you think so?
I know, there is the arrangement loop, but in that way you can't use Live as a Jingle Machine, that is the way i use it (a midi usb keyboard controller, every key corresponds to a clip).
I used Native Instruments Kontakt to do this, but it is not so user friendly, and the loop managing is very complicated...

When Legato is enabled it will pick up the next sample from where you've just come from rather than going back to the start... so that won't help your cause.

I can't see a way around getting your one-shot sample to be incorporated into a Follow Action program without assigning a "Time" control to it.... can still make it happen though... just needs some extra time tweaking.
