[4675] 8.06b option+arrow key causes crashe

Post by Jekblad » Thu Feb 05, 2009 6:31 pm

i sent the bug report in, and then it did it again so i though i'd see if anyone else had this.

try and jump around from browser to arrange to clip view using the option arrow key commands, as well as release the option key and just use the arrow keys to move within that field. When i hit the keys fast it crashes.

No crash here, and I was hitting them arrow keys like I was playing street fighter in the arcade. UPDOWNUPDOWNRIGHTLEFTUPDOWNRIGHTLEFTDOWNUPRIGHTLEFTDOWNUPRIGHTLEFTRIGHTDOWNUPDOWNUPDOWNLEFTUPDOWNRIGHTDOWNRIGHT

One thing I did notice doing this, is that on the arrange page, I cannot option+arrow over to the browser, only from arrange down to clip view. But in session view, I can option+arrow over to the browser. This function works fine in 7.

nice street fight reference. :)

the option modifier in arrange lets you jump between markers rather than to browser.

Not sure if i like that, especially if it remains the same in session. Talk about confusing.

NO MOUSE workflow is pretty important, and this "new" keystroke sorta gets in the way of that.

I've tested your functions as descrbed in arrange view (and I discover it : fantastic !) but no crashes obviously...
I'm testing it on MacBook Pro 2.33 Ghz / 3 Go RAM / 200 Go HD (7200 RPM) and a MOTU 828 MKII...
Are you trying this on a special features, like big VST or anything like Max/MSP plugins, or anything special ?
