Having done loads of tracks and very complex dj sets in Live 7 and Previous versions, i have put Live 8 to the test for the benefit of planning my radio show with unwarped tracks just for presentation and layout purposes.
For testing purposes i did not warp any tracks and layed them along the timeline:
I found that tracks were not displaying very quickly when you scroll across the timeline, and this is on a PC under 6 months old.
Live 7 never had these problems, is this just a beta teething problem, has anyone else experienced this with the gui, in fact it was only two tracks of audio (unwarped) and a third track containing jingles, i would hate to be doing a complex mix with this at the moment
Any other thoughts, from anyone else would give the ableton guys, some feedback on the often overlooked DJ side of this...
Is this a bug, not Ironed out Yet??? Re: DJ SETS

Re: Is this a bug, not Ironed out Yet??? Re: DJ SETS
live has to build and cache a waveform view for all the clips. is this what's happening or is it overall gui slow down? if its slow waveform building, i've got the same issue with beta 13, but the project should function normally once live is done rendering the waveforms. (in addition, once its done 'revising' things some of the warping information is scrambled but this may be a different issue). also if i close the file and reopen it, it starts the rebuilding process all over again. this is specific to beta 13 too. before 12 expired i could open the same project in 12 and it worked fine...just 13 had issues.
