Drum Machines

Post by Moody » Wed Dec 29, 2004 3:39 am

Anybody familiar with a drum machine plugin that would allow you flip a switch to reverse a drum sample? Kinda like Impulse is laid out or something but I could highlight the snare lets say and click the switch for reverse?

Thanks in advance you crazy cats! :D

Get Suppatrigga - apply the snare to it's own output track in an impulse kit.
Put Suppatrigga as an insert effect on that track only.
Set the remix probabilities to LOW or 0% .
Set Silence Probability to 0%.
Set Reverse probability to high or draw a clip envelope controlling Suppatrigga's reverse on/off slider control.
You can also mess with remix ratio's etc for some mad cut up glitched out d'n'b mayhem on just that snare only for fills and variations also. :D.

Thanks Fax,
This does seem to be the best method currently. Maybe the Abletons will provide something more useful to this effect in the next round of Impulse.

hey jason what i do is just load that one shot into session,
reverse the clip, then drop it in another impulse slot...

you have to use up extra space in your impulse but oh well...

Now we are talking! Looks like we have a couple of awesome options for playback feel. Thanks Spiral! I am going to go experiment with both right now. I am sure work will not mind. :P

You might want to check aptrigga 2 from www.apulsoft.ch/ or Lucifer plugin from www.devine-machine.com * Lucifer2 is also coming out soon. I just peeped a demo at KVRaudio.com in the devinemachine forum. Both are crazy plugins

Hi all,

Yes, yes, yes! Links to two demo mp3s are included in the following thread on K-v-R: here.

Keep crushing those bits :-)

Bye,
Steve
