The 128 limit is gone. One mini track i did to celebrate!

Post by Tweaking Knobs » Thu Feb 26, 2009 3:13 pm

So i am so happy that this issue has been solved, now i can really do music in live.

I did this mini track in around 15 minutes to celebrate it :

http://www.goear.com/listen.php?v=85e18a4

Enjoy !

Its done in flstudio8 as live goes like shit in my computer, the sidechain compression is a bit too much on the bass, the lirics are sliced in the FLslicer, it uses zebre2 for the synths and microtoni and drumatic for the drums.

and maximus for the final mix, wich actually is not good as i did it in my laptop speakers and didnt really puted much attention to it.

You celebrated an advance in Live by doing a track in FLStudio?

O the irony.

Not to be harsh, but I think the 154th parameter could use a little more work and possibly the 192nd as well. You nailed the 183rd though.

Erm, OK then. I got a bunch of old Reason 2.5 and Cubase tracks from my old P4 1.6 Ghz desktop from a few years back if anyone wants to hear 'em, when I was like 'Doh, 128 parameter limit, Ableton Schmabelton'

And some stuff from tracker days done on the Amiga with 8 bit samples.

These should provide an adequate celebration of Live removing the parameter limit, given that Live 7 and 8 beta runs like Molasses on my 2001 Dell P4 1.6 Ghz desktop with 512 MB ram and windows 2000..... but kudos to Ableton for freeing my creativity and allowing me to delve back into my pre Live Archives ......Yeah, those fellas on the Live forum will no doubt understand and applaud me for posting my old Reason tracks, right?

I did it in 15 minutes what do you expect ? is not a real track its just a joke.

By the way there are many things automated, the filter cutoff of the voice sample, the main volume at the end,the reverv wet/dry the bass cutoff...

Hey Tweaking, I believe this is called sarcasm? It's not meant in a serious way (tell me it's not?)
