Hi All,

I am thoroughly enjoying testing LIVE 8. Obviously, there are many huge improvements. Kudos to the Ableton team. Freq shifter just kills! I love how the fades change the waveform display...

Reverse though, doesn't seem to work at all on my machine. I've seen other mentions of it throughout the forums. This is an important issue to address for my work process. I've had it happen on files I've warped, files I just dragged into a clip without manipulating and recorded audio.

Thanks for the kind words.

Which beta are you using? There was a bug fixed lately, where Live would crash when you press "Reverse" in the Audio clip detail view. Also, please describe better what you mean by "doesn't seem to work at all".. Does Live crash? Does it do "nothing"? etc..

You should read the FAQ posted on top of this forum as to know what to do in case of crash, and how to report things in a manner that helps us all most.

its true once they get addicted to those expensive cables its over. I tried to sell one my ipod headphones and he just wouldn't buy them, no matter how cheap.

Hi Amaury,

I apologize for not being more detailed on the post.

I have posted a bug report to [email protected] already, but I will describe in detail what I am experiencing.

I am currently using Live 8.0b14 on a MDD G4 Mac (2x1.25ghz) running Mac OS 10.4.9, which has been incredibly stable and consistent with the current rev of LIVE 7.

I can record audio in the arrangement view (DAW style) and reverse that audio using the reverse button in the sample box in clip view (Arrangement view)

I cannot reverse audio that was recorded in arrangement view then put into a clip slot in Session view using the reverse button in the sample box in clip view. Live will hangup or crash

I cannot reverse audio dragged into a clip slot in Session view using the reverse button in the sample box in clip view. Live will hangup or crash

I cannot reverse audio that was recorded in Session view into a clip slot in using the reverse button in the sample box in clip view. Live will Crash

This is a consistent behavior and I will send a few more bug reports that will illustrate this.

additionally, Warp engine is Beats with either Transients or 1/16 preserved. I will try other permutations.
