Hey,
I've been using Grain Delay a lot since I first got live. I really like the way it can deconstruct audio. However, I dont like the way it 'pops' when you put the pitch and the frequency quite low. Is it just me? Anyone else noticed this? Is it preventable, perhaps it could be fixed in a future update?

Grains in the rain
Hi David,
sometimes there are amazing coincidencies: I figured out the same problem just a week ago and i was very sure it is a new bug. We optimised the performance a bit and i thought there we broke it.
But now i checked it with the Live 1.5 Demo and it had the same bug.
This is a true surprise to me since i am not using the GD extensively, i also made it...
You use very low frequencies / large grains, am i correct ?
Anyway, i am not sure when it can be fixed but i will do my best
Happy 2005 to all you guys ! Donate to the Red Cross or something like this if you can spent some money !!!

Hi Robert,
That is a coincidence! I thought someone else must have noticed the popping. I searched the forum archive to see but couldnt find a post so decided I'd post to put my mind at rest. I find it makes the popping when I use settings such as this -

Its just a small thing really, the popping, no big deal really with all the other shit going on in the world. Good luck with fixing it, it must be pretty hard pinning down those dsp bugs. In my current experience DSP is pretty tricky stuff.
Anyway, Happy New Year 2005
Hope everyone has a good one.
David

yep... Thats why I use grain delay just to delay some of the stuff. I never touch the pitch and stuff on it. Even the warp function creates some nasty aliases!!!David wrote:Hi Robert,
