Uncompressed audio (wav/aiff) ableton/serato/cdj comparisons
Uncompressed audio (wav/aiff) ableton/serato/cdj comparisons
I just compared the same file coming off a cdj, serato, and ableton with a duet and they all sound exactly the same to me. They are each coming up a different channel on my mixer and crossfading between them yields no differences I can hear. Anyone do a more scientific test of this?

Why? I mean, no offense, but you're comparing 3 copies of the same thing, so it's no surprise they sound the same

Well, the comparison is really between the DA of the serato box, the CDJ, and the duet.
I've heard lots of discussions saying one sounds better than another, like a cdj is punchier than serato, etc.
Could be a pointless thread, just a simple observation!

I can't imagine the sound would actually be sound different from this playback?

No I hear you, a lot of people bang on about Serato's perceived crapiness in sound quality over CDJs and then i guess (perceivably) more so with the Duet. One of the biggest points people make is Serato vs Traktor re sound quality.
Have you thought that maybe your mixer and monitors are the ones colouring the sounds and therefore you can't tell a difference?
