I'm really interested in just using a midi floorboard to control live, but it imposes some problems.
I play together with a band, and for a night we might play about 10 different songs, which would be arranged into 10 different live sets. Mostly, the set-list will be ironed out in advance, so I guess the easy way to just use a floorboard would be to make a mega-set with all the songs on the set list. But for the few times we choose not to follow our list, I would have to run to the computer and drag other sets into the session window, and that wouldn't work.
Soo.. is there any way to use a midi floorboard to choose between sets, and then start them without any silence? I guess that both being a dragger or being a set-freak is ruled out the way I need things to work..
suggestions?
