this has been the case since the first beta: there's a huge difference in projects size from 7.0 to 8.0.
i just saved a set that was 5MB in 7.0, saved in 8.0 it's 45MB!

yeah. my best guess is this has to do with all the transients in the new warp format...most of my old sets are 3-5 times their former size when saved in 8.

one thing worth trying - that will take a lot of time of course - would be to go through one of the old sets and delete all the new transient info and resaving to see if that cuts down on the file size and load times. that, or someone from ableton could just tell us...hint, hint...

wow, I didn't notice. would this also carry forward to the same sets requiring more RAM? peeddrroo's set needs 9x the RAM?
