Re: not a deadmau5 fan really but
I've read he wants to start getting away from the Electro stuff that everybody loves/hates him for. He really knows his shit so I look forward to his next incarnation that will maybe give him more "intellectual" credibility.
And he'll continue to hate on DJs to keep the haters happy

Bryan Adams is also a Canadian and I remember in South Park in the 'Blame Canada' episodes that the government had no regrets except for Bryan Adams and Celine Dion !!

toronto loves to eat its own, however usually they get the mad love upon returning. i wasn't really familiar with his stuff until everyone started banging on him here a few months back. not sure what the fuss is all about either way...not great but not bad either IMO.

Re: not a deadmau5 fan really but
Very true, but given that I actually don't live in Toronto itself, I live in the Region Of Peel, which is the next municipality to the West of T.O., and given that I was born in Leeds in the U.K., I don't have a strong affinity with downtown Toronto, which is a pretty good city though BTW.
I'd say the sports fans have a right to be narked, given that all of the teams, the Leafs (especially), Blue Jays (or Boo Jays as some know us), Raptors and Toronto FC (the only ones I'm interested in) all blow chunks like an exploding volcano.

deadmau5 should just be ostracized from dance music society already.

Basically he has been quoted as talking a lot of shit about DJs in general and then there's supposed odd demands he makes of other artists/DJs that play with him, like what they can do and can't do.see the light wrote:I don't get why people dislike this chap? The funny thing is this is perfectly acceptable in Hip Hop culture and even expected, but everybody in Electronica is a bunch of little girls that demand a higher level of politeness and respect. Ironically there is also a lot of shit talking towards Electronica artists that find the fast track to success, deserved or otherwise.
