Don't really see what the deal is. For those who want, it's just to download the beta to hold them over to the actual release. It's practically open for everyone now. It's buggy now - it'll most likely be a bit buggy (on some systems) even a few months after the release.

The real question is: "When does the Max for Live beta phase begin" and "Pretty, please, can I be a part of it"?

If I got that right from the interview with the guy from C74 (CEO? Don't remember...) it'll take some time (he said something about summer, didn't he?). Apart from groove functions and grouping m4l is the most important change for me, too.

Besides the little bug that from time to time L8 starts with all menu items disabled, it was pretty stable here... :D

Should I wait for live10 or LiveX instead of buying 9 now..Do you think the upgrade from 8 to X will be the same as 9 to X?

Don't waste your money! Live 37, due out in 2030, has every sound ever made in a downloadable format for free, comes in a box of Cheerios, and runs on a contact lens.

It pays to wait!
