Quality of sound

Guys i currently hold a residency at Fabric London (student night) and have been finding that regardless of the fact that all my tracks are bought as wav. my sound is still sounding like an MP3, i figured out that it was because i had my filters constantly set to on and as a result was adding a nasty color to my sound, now that this is sorted i therefore get to my question....

what configuration is best to make a DJ set sound as good as wav's can? and also what effect does EQ three have on the sound (haven't had a chance to test in on the system in Fabric yet)
