Eating peanut butter for months in anticipation? Uh oh. Better add 'stupid' behind self-righteous.
Yup. That's all you've got left - insults. An obvious attempt to overcompensate for your inability to make a valid point. Keep burying yourself and forget about growing a bigger penis.
Bigger penis? WTF?

Re: monome 256 for sale.
There's a level of quasi-neo-hippy bullshit that surrounds the Monome community. It reeks of sanctimonious piety. All this outrage when someone sells or buys for more than the original asking price. All this outrage. Jesus. While at the same time 10,000 poor saps loose their jobs over at the HP distribution center.
Bah.
Tell you what. Why don't you guys direct your energy someplace where it would do some good? How about convincing the Monome creators to stop fucking around in their precious loft, and REALLY do some good for the world: Put a few of those unemployed HP workers on a Monome assembly line. FFS.
Unemployed workers from HP. Fixed.
Overpriced Monome on Ebay that causes so much outrage. Fixed.
FFS.

They truly could produce more as evidenced by the demand and pricing, however, at what point does increased availability negatively impact that "cool/limited/exclusive/Iownoneandyoudon't factor" that surrounds the monome and this negatively impact sales?

@contakt321
I hear what you are saying. If the creators like the fact that they are creating a "cool/limited/exclusive/Iownoneandyoudon't" item, that's cool by me. No worries and no problems there. But anyone who creates something this cool cannot possibly be so stupid as to not expect outrageous reselling crap to happen. Can they? Please tell me no one could be that stupid.
I don't think they are. I think it's the Club of Owners that has built this ridiculous notion of quasi ethics.

Here's an idea:

I'd be more than happy to cough up a couple hundred or so if it gets me AND some poor kid in Africa a chance to bang out sequences.
Just sayin.....

Blueprints, PCB's, Open source code, companies growing because of a single concept (sparkfun) and a load of documentation plus a community who answers questions regardless if you're even remotely interested in the monome itself.
Those elitist bastards!
Seriously, what is next? Ranting that PD isn't free enough?
I don't have a monome. I just visit their forum to getz me some code

Re: monome 256 for sale.
Well spoken. Not elitist at all. Monome are rare because they are made by two people who want to keep quiet and modest.

I don't know about the 'wanting to keep quiet and modest bit'. That's a bit of rubbish, really. Quiet and modest? Reminds me of famous actors who bitch about being famous. Rubbish. Don't be an actor. Fixed.
All you have to do is spend some time over at gizmodo.com or engadget.com - where some dude creates a step sequencer out of paper clips and bubble gum in a Tokyo office, and people go apeshit for it. TOTAL APESHIT. They start demanding tutorials and videos and want to know when it's going to be available. FFS.
People love step sequencers and can't get enough of them. Quiet and modest is cool when you've created something that nobody wants, lol.

Okay. Fair enough. Educate me or STFU. Quick. Before I'm forced to do yet another Photoshop bit.
Clueless about monome. Is it that precious and complicated? Is it an object. A way of life? A state of mind? lol.
