[amo] 8.0b13: Loop bar on warping wrong
[amo] 8.0b13: Loop bar on warping wrong
When warping a track and using 'set 1.1.1 here' and 'warp xxx bpm straight' the grey loop bar indicator above the clip is not updated/not displaying the correct new positions in the ruler (and audio file), both start end end of the loop.
Re: 8.0b13: Loop bar on warping wrong
i'm getting a feeling this is all related....

i have noticed in at least a couple clips that the loop braces were incorrect...messing with them resulted in a crash as well.

Hi,
We fixed a number of bugs related to warping in beta 17, please check if you still can reproduce the problem with beta 17.

Hi,
Still the same in b17. To repeat:
- set loop from warped to grid values (e.g. pos 1.1.2 length 0.3.2)
- change song tempo
- set a new 1.1.1
- warp with 'xxx bpm from here'
Then the grey loop indication does not corespond anymore with the pos/length box contents.

Sorry, I tried and failed. Can you review the steps above and see if anything is missing (like, where to set the 1.1.1., should the Loop be ON or OFF etc..)

Re: [amo] 8.0b13: Loop bar on warping wrong
I think I found the problem (e.g. what I was doing wrong) : When setting a new 1.1.1 I right clicked on an auto-warp marker and selected 'set 1.1.1 here'. But those auto warp markers are not exactly on grid (you can only see they are not when zoomed in a lot). So when warping from there on confusing things happen, like the orange 'not on grid' indicators lighting up when setting this 1.1.1.
Will try if I see real odd things with b18 ...

Re: [amo] 8.0b13: Loop bar on warping wrong
Hi,
So, because you set the 1.1.1. off the original grid, the loop brace is in turn off grid, which sometimes show the same "position" and "length" values, by chance, but paints the last number in orange, because it is off grid?
If that is what is happening, this is all normal and there is no bug.
Is there anything left?

I can't repeat it anymore, but what I think I saw is that the loop braces where on different postitions as the displayed values in the boxes. Will see if I can repeat it again, but till then I think you can close this one.
